Richard Williams Interviewed by John Canemaker

Monday, September 29, 2008

I went to an amazing event the other day at MoMA that I've been meaning to mention on this blog. I was going to do a write up of it, but Michael Sporn, who i was standing right behind on line, already did a great post on it. I also got to sit next to Chris Wedge (director of Ice Age and Bunny and a lot more). Check out Michael Sporn's post here. It was unbelievable.

excuse the guitar-very fast drawing, but no reason for the guitar to be completely cheated. ill do better next time. i have to practice drawing guitars in tough perspectives quickly. they constantly give me trouble. need to sketch more i guess.

Jeremy Orm - Few more scenes

Thursday, September 11, 2008

written by phil johnston, all rights reserved. another couple scenes i did for "Jeremy Orm is a Pervert." it was another quick turnaround, but they get the point across anyway. it's always so fun to draw from this script.

subway....

i hate the subway right now. the trains were a complete nightmare today. terrible. i don't ever like to complain on this blog, so excuse me, but it wasn't any fun underground this thursday. one nice little outcome of all the traveling was i got a chance to go down to ground zero on 9/11 and i got to see obama and clinton drive by me on 125th st., on their way, ironically, back down to ground zero. anyways, here is the fruit of a trip from clinton-washington in brooklyn up to 145th in washington heights, back down to chambers st. in downtown manhattan, then back up to 135th st. in east harlem, then finally back down to clinton-washington, all within 8 am-6 pm today. i also got through an entire new yorker magazine. i was in the goddamn subway a long time. theres a whole bunch of even crappier sketches i didnt post.
